International trade refers to an exchange activity between the different countries of products, services and factors of production. The international trade also known as the import and export trade. This project is about Golden Frontier (GF) Company exporting seafood from Indonesia to Thailand. GF is an import and export company in Myanmar, it has a large part of the market in Yangon, due to the Indonesian fisheries gradually rise, GF company decided to export Indonesia’s seafood products to Thailand. There is market expansion from Indonesia to Thailand, which requires a lot of research and understanding to take it to the further process.
The following report includes the outcomes of the research in term of relevant issues should be addressed. First of all, data analysis on the most demanded fishes in Thailand, the proportion and per capita fish consumption in Thailand and specific result in the imports of frozen fish in Thailand in order to know relatively types and quantity of fish that can bought from Indonesia. Then, shipment as an important part should be comprehended considering, which include the particular supply company, shipping company and specific cost of the seafood in terms of the price and cost of shipment such as the buying and selling price of fish. Furthermore, depth understanding the rules and regulations governing shipment of seafood from Indonesia to Thailand, which include the trade agreements and some special rules such as the Free Trade Agreement. In the end, there is a comprehensive recommendation in terms of those issues related to this project.
